take an active part in this crucial election campaign

Please take an active part in this crucial election campaign – during the whole of November and in early December – and indeed on polling day itself (December 12).

It would be great if you could help any day or evening (especially on weekends – and crucially also during the day and/or evening on polling day itself (December 12).Your help is urgently needed to assist with leafleting, canvassing, Street stalls, administration work and other crucial tasks

The more volunteers step forward, the greater our chance of ensuring that a pro-Remain and/or pro-People's-Vote Parliament is returned in December. So far a combination of grassroots political action, vast demonstrations, huge petitions, lobbying (and the determination by pro-Remain and pro-People's-Vote MPs) has succeeded in delaying/stopping Brexit.

But to win the crucial next stage in this struggle we, more than ever before, need your help (and the help of all your pro-Remain friends, relatives and colleagues throughout the UK). So please encourage as many people as possible to take part in the campaign. If people need to contact their local pro-remain group, details can be found on our contact page on this website.

Because this election is so unique and so important for the future of our country and our continent, we would very much recommend all Remain supporters in our area to help to defeat anti-PV candidates in one or more local or other constituencies. We, in Harrow and Hillingdon European Movement, will also be campaigning – to persuade unregistered Remainers to register to vote – and to then vote tactically.

We can win – but only if we are very determined and very disciplined. Much will depend upon how many currently unregistered Remain supporters register to vote and how many people are prepared to vote tactically, even if in some circumstances they may find it difficult to do so.

Here are the local and nearby constituencies where your help would be appreciated:

in Uxbridge and South Ruislip, and in Harrow East and in Hendon, the Labour candidates need your help in defeating Boris Johnson's Tories.

In St Albans, Richmond Park and Sutton and Cheam, the Liberal Democrats need your help to defeat them.

In Beaconsfield the pro-People's-Vote rebel Conservative and independent candidate, Dominic Grieve needs your help to defeat his official pro-Boris Johnson Tory challenger.

For strategic and/or geographical reasons, many Harrow and Hillingdon European Movement members/supporters will probably try to concentrate on Uxbridge and South Ruislip, Harrow East, Beaconsfield, Richmond Park and St Albans.

Here is the data on all of the seats mentioned above – so that you can make an informed decision as to where you would like to help.

Uxbridge and South Ruislip

In Uxbridge and South Ruislip constituency the current predicted combined support for pro-People's vote parties is 44.6% - so large-scale tactical voting in support of the Labour candidate would probably unseat the current MP, Prime Minister Boris Johnson (who is currently (early November) predicted to get less than that percentage on polling day, December 12.

BEACONSFIeLD

In Beaconsfield constituency the current predicted combined support for pro-People's Vote parties is 31.8% but a substantial number of Conservative voters (perhaps around a quarter of them) are pro-Remain - so large scale  tactical voting in support of the current pro-People's-Vote MP (Dominic Grieve, who was expelled from the Tory Parliamentary Party by Boris Johnson) could potentially allow him to defeat an official Tory candidate.
