ENSURE THAT BREXIT DOES NOT REDUCE CONSUMER RIGHTS

The Prime Minister must make sure that Britain's consumers are not disadvantaged when, at the end of this year, Britain is no longer bound by Europe-wide consumer protection laws. Up till now, those laws have, for instance, ensured that we get high food safety standards, proper compensation for poor airline punctuality, free health care across Europe, and zero mobile phone roaming charges throughout the EU. What's more, the Prime Minister needs to remember that our sports and arts sectors are also very international – and he therefore also needs to take action to guarantee that they will not be adversely affected by the implementation of Brexit. And of course he also needs to ensure that the services and opportunities available to students through our higher education system are in no way diminished or compromised by the implementation of Brexit.
