ENSURE THAT BREXIT DOES NOT REDUCE EMPLOYEE'S RIGHTS

The Prime Minister must make sure that British workers are not worse off in 2021 and beyond than they have been in recent years. In terms of employment rights, all UK workers are currently protected by Europe-wide laws until the end of this year. Mr Johnson must prove that our departure from Europe-wide employment protection laws will not harm UK workers. What's more, he has refused to change our Single Market/Customs Union departure date (December 31, 2020). His failure means that it will now coincide with a potential major winter resurgence of coronavirus. Thousands of people urged him 'to deal with one crisis at a time' – but he took no notice. In 2021, he must prove to the British people that his stubborn refusal to extend the negotiation period (and his handling of the pandemic) has not cost vastly more jobs than would have been lost if he had acted differently.
